Hard to find and desirable 1977
Chevy K10 short bed 4x4. It features its original paint on straight
95% California Body. 77 is a one year only trim package with the
yellow accent color painted inside the trim. Not a big deal but it
makes a 77 stand out. This truck
also has the premium Cheyenne trim package, and is well optioned.
It has the 400 small block, TH400 automatic, A/C, tilt, PS, PDB, front
tow hooks, limited slip "posi" rear, etc. It engine runs smooth and
strong, and the automatic transmission shifts nice.
As mentioned it is from California.
I call it 95% rustfree because there is rust in the front fenders, and one
small spot on the rear lower bed. Due to being over 40 years old
these areas are common for rust even on California trucks. Other than
that the cab, floors and bed are very solid.
The interior is original and better
than most for it's age. We installed a new headliner. The factory seat sits fine and the foam is good,
but the vinyl is split so we put a seat cover on it. It has an AM/FM
CD player in it also. It has a class III receiver style hitch.
Nice driver, with good 31/10.5/15 tires on factory rally wheels, good brakes, tight suspension, and sound
exhaust.
These short beds are extremely
popular, but hard for me to find in nice virgin condition. This one
having the biggest engine offered in a 4x4 in this era makes it special. |
