Clean &
original 1987 Chevy K10 Long bed
4x4. 1987 is the most desirable year of this classic body style.
The reason is that 87 was the only year for fuel injection in this body.
There is nothing like just starting it up and driving off. No
choke, no hard if any start on a cold morning. Non of the old
carburetor woes. This 4x4 is 100% RUSTFREE and still features it's
original paint. The body has a few battle scares, but overall it's
pretty straight. It only has 105k original miles. It runs
and drives excellent, just like a low mile unabused 4x4 should.
This 87 is a nice simple 4x4. So it has less that can go wrong.
It has the economical, yet pretty powerful 4.3 v-6, a 4 speed, power
steering, power disc brakes and dual fuel tanks. The brakes, and
suspension are tight. The exhaust sound fine but could use a new
tailpipe. The clutch is new with less than 3k on it, and it works
nice and smooth. The 4 speed also shifts nice. The 4x4
system has the preferred manual locking hubs and it works nice. It
has decent stock sized 235x75x15 tires on the factory 8" rallies.
It also has 3.42 axles which are excellent for this truck. The interior is
clean and hasn't been smoked in. The seat has a few splits on the
drivers side, but still functions and sits fine. The dash pad has
some cracks, but is still presentable. It even still has a nice
sounding factory AM/FM stereo.
The 4.3 is a great engine, with
plenty of power for most applications. The previous owner claimed
over 15 mpg on the highway.
If you have been looking for a clean, simple 4x4, this is it.
I would hop in and drive this 4x4 anywhere. |
