Unbelievable survivor! Very
rare and desirable short bed step side 4x4. This is a 1977 Ford F150
4x4, with Premium Ranger trim package. This is a one owner truck
that only has 73,394 original miles on it. This truck is 100%
rustfree from California, and still features the original paint.
Even the body and bed are almost dent free. In over 20 years dealing
in 4x4's, I have only had two step sides. This is the nicest.
It features a strong and smooth 351, and a nice shifting (desirable) 4
speed. It also has power steering, and power disc brakes.
These were the last of Ford's heavy duty half ton 4x4's. They still
had straight axle Dana 44 fronts, NP 205 transfer cases, and 9" rears.
It also has conservative 3.50 axles. One other neat feature of this
truck is that is has factory dual tanks. That is unique for a step
side.This 4x4 runs and
drives like a 73k mile truck should. It hasn't been cut,
lifted, or off roaded. It is hard to say much more about this truck
without just letting the pictures speak for them selves.
This truck is a very nice
survivor, and only needs a few things. The wood in the bed floor
needs to be replaced, it needs carpet, and finally the seat needs to be
recovered. It has a nice slip on cover, but the cloth / vinyl have
separated on the seat. You will notice some surface rust on the
floor, under where the carpet was. It is just that, surface rust
from trapped moisture.
Bottom line, this is the kind of
truck that rarely exists anymore. I feel darn lucky to have found
it. If you want one of the cleanest original short bed step side F150's 4x4's left, and can
appreciate a true survivor, don't miss this one. I wont ever have a
nicer one, period.
