1992 Ford Ranger 4x4 short bed.
This is our first square body Ford Ranger. It is a clean low mile
original survivor. It is the last and best of the first Gen Rangers.
The first generation ran from 83 - 92. It has the big 4.0 v6 that runs
smooth and strong, backed by a nice shifting 5 speed manual with overdrive.
The clutch is perfect as well. I have always liked the looks of the
early Rangers, but most are beat junk. This one is the fancy XLT
model, has just what it needs, the biggest engine, the 5 speed, A/C, Power
Steering, and Power Disc Brakes. It was one family owned, and only has 111k
miles. It features it's original paint, on a pretty straight, 100%
rustfree body from California body. It also has a Class III receiver
style tow hitch.
It has the
push button 4x4 system, that works as it should. The second picture of
the 4x4 / radio shows both 4x4 LED's on as well as the 4x4 and Low Range
dash lights illuminated.
The tires are
the stock sized 235/75/15's that are real nice on beautiful factory alloys.
The brakes, suspension and exhaust are all sound. She is quick and fun
to drive. The clutch is smooth and feels great.
The interior is
very clean. It has a nice sounding factory radio. We
installed a new headliner. The carpet is nice and the dash isn't
cracked.
The inside of
the bed, upper rails, and front rail are straight. As mentioned the
paint, or what is left of it is still original. The roof has some
light surface rust from the paint being baked off. The body has a few
small dents, but is straight overall.
This is as nice
an original survivor Ranger as your going to find for this kind of money.
