1989 GMC V3500 1 ton 4x4 Regular cab & chassis with a
utility bed. This
was the last year I believe for getting the Square body style in a regular
cab and it could only be gotten as a cab and chassis. It has a 6"
longer wheelbase than a standard pickup. It would be nice to use as it
sits or put a nice flatbed on it. These are very rare trucks. It
is the last of the true heavy duty straight axle trucks. It has the
Dana 60 front, NP205 Tcase, and the Dana 70 rear. This Heavy Duty 4x4
is 100% Rustfree from California, and looks to only have 136k miles on it.
This is truck has the base Sierra trim. Again I
think they only came as base models for fleets and commercial purposes.
It has a strong smooth fuel injected 350, and a nice shifting TH400
automatic.
It also has A/C, and dual fuel tanks.
It also
has like new 265/75/16 radial tires on the stock steel wheels, with the
stock hubcaps. This truck runs strong and drives smooth. The
brakes are good, the exhaust is sound and the suspension is tight.
Bottom line, I would hop in and drive any place with. This is truly the most
heavy duty truck GM ever built for public use. |
